- BS! Obama is for all of us. Just because he speaks to the Black caucus and identifies with them doesn't mean he's neglecting anybody else. He speaks for me and millions of other white people in this country. What's good for African Americans is good for European Americans, too.

- No, mrr. They're the ones with congenital diseases and disabilities who are unable to work, through no fault of their own. They're the ones who's well-paying jobs were shipped overseas because of the corporate bottom line and can now only get a part-time, minimum wage job.

- Yes, raise everyone's taxes. It's about time. Put them back to where they had been when the country was prosperous. I'm middle class, and mine will go up, and that's fine. I'd rather pay taxes now while I've got the money, and have government support for my old age when I might need it.

- Dasvet - the country is sinking because of conservatives and tea partiers who would rather destroy it than see Obama succeed. Their stated goal is not to help the country, but to make sure Obama fails. They have stood in the way of everything he's tried to do to fix the situation.

- Texanlegal - If everybody pays in there will be enough for everyone's needs. It's as simple as that. Her grandkids and yours will be able to count on good healthcare no matter whether they're between jobs, disabled from birth or healthy enough not to need it until the ends of their lives.

- What's stupid is that they blindly follow extreme versions of those principles without analyzing the actual data. When confronted with facts that contradict their extreme views they ignore them.

- Catzenjammer - I agree and raise you one. 'Gunned down' means that he killed them. The headline doesn't agree with the rest of the article. It doesn't say anywhere thay anybody was killed.

- Yeah, but this was from Reuters. I'm really surprised. Either they're not hiring any editors these days, or they're just skimping by hiring 20 somethings straight out of school. Even so, it's amazing who poorly 'journalists' write English, at least in the 24 hour news.

A 26-year-old woman died after falling off a walkway on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, Calif., according to the Long Beach Fire Department, NBC Los Angeles reports. The woman somehow fell off an upper walkway and landed 75 feet below into the frigid water about 8:30 p.m.

Hey MahaDave; I have a M1 Rifle with clips, it's a tanker's rifle, the barrel is a
bit shorter than on the regular soldier's rifle. So You think that I don't need to
have this rifle, since it is a Military rifle, outdated by a lot of years, but still
works fine and is accurate for max distance. My wife and children are all NRA
members and are fully trained on the the safety of the weapon and maintaining
and use. Yes, there are other rifles, but this one is mine! and without this rifle
I am useless, and without me, my rifle is useless and so on... I gave many
years to serving in the U.S. Military, and would have proudly gave many more,
but for a in line of duty injury(and not with the rifle either!). My rifle serves a
dual function; I also serve in Veteran's Military Honor Guard, giving Honors to
the Fallen veterans (I change the gas pressure on the rifle). Our Unit has been
pulling double duties that has us doing two funerals at the same time, so to be
able to have enough rifles, some of us have brought our own so that two de-
tails can be deployed and one of the funerals will not have to be either re-
scheduled or refused... So yes Dave, I do need My M1!
